(TIML NEWS) NBA superstar Kobe Bryant died at 41 in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on Sunday, January 26, TMZ is reporting.

The former L.A. Lakers player was traveling with at least three other people on his private helicopter when a fire reportedly broke out. Fire brigade and paramedics attended the scene but TMZ reports that five people are confirmed dead.

It’s believed that Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, was not on board.

Rick Fox is not dead. The Ex-Laker was not on board the helicopter that killed Kobe Bryant in Calabasas, California, on January 26.

Fox’s daughter confirmed to WEEI’s Courtney Fallon that the Canadian-born former NBA star was alive. NBA TV’s Jared Greenberg also tweeted that he had communicated with Fox via text in the aftermath of the crash that killed Kobe.

ESPN had earlier reported that Fox was on board the helicopter. Heavy.com has reached out to Fox’s camp for comment.
