Farmer turns used motorbike into one-of-a-kind tree elevator

(TIML TECH) Who needs to climb trees when you can just ride to the top of them? A farmer in Bantwal, India, used his background in science to create the ultimate tree-climbing tool. The device, made from a motorbike’s parts over the course of seven months, helps him easily harvest areca nuts and spray the necessary chemicals to keep his 100-feet-tall areca palm trees alive. Fifty local farmers have already asked Ganapathi Bhat to buy his machine, which he’s planning on selling for around Rs 75,000 ($1,081 US) apiece.
