(TIML NEWS) For years, hardcore Tupac fans have argued the theory that the late rapper didn’t actually die, but faked his death and disappeared to evade his enemies.
This theory was fueled by the release of his fifth studio album The Don Killuminati, which came less than two months after his death and released under Pac’s new moniker Makaveli, inspired by 15th century philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli who wrote “to fool one’s enemies, fake one’s death”.
Well, notorious Death Row Records boss Suge Knight is keeping this theory alive, after recently hinting that he too believes Pac might still be alive.
Suge recently spoke to Ice-T and Soledad O’Brien via phone from the L.A. County jail for an upcoming special titled Who Shot Biggie & Tupac? and dropped the bombshell.
He begins by explaining the time period when Tupac died, while putting emphasis on, “if he died.” O’Brien stops Suge and asks him to elaborate. “I mean, when I left that hospital, me and ‘Pac was laughing and joking. So I don’t see how somebody could turn from doing well to doing bad,” he said.
O’Brien then asks if he really thinks Shakur is alive. “I’ma tell you, with Pac, you never know,” Suge responds.
Tupac was famously gunned down on the Las Vegas Strip on September 7, 1996. Six days later, he died, after succumbing to his injuries.
The interview with Knight will air on Sunday (Sept. 24) on FOX.
To tell the truth, I don’t think he’s lyin. If all accounts are to be believed, he was one of 2Pac’s greatest friends and allies.
Perhaps he just bidin his time and Suge is complicit in the plan…
