(TIML NEWS) Stephen Curry is re-upping with the Golden State Warriors, agreeing to a five-year, $201 million extension, reports ESPN — the richest contract in league history.
The 29-year-old, two-time MVP will be the first NBA player to sign a supermax contract that crosses the $200 million mark… which is expected to become the standard for the league’s biggest stars in the coming years.
Before this supermax contract, Curry had signed a four-year, $44 million contract extension.
This past season, Curry averaged 25.3 points per game. He also helped led the Warriors to a near-sweep of the entire playoffs and their second NBA championship.
