(TIML NEWS) Ok so first off New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and New York Governor Cuomo have been feuding for some time now, ever since de Blasio took it upon himself to call out the Governor for doing away with Albany’s local priorities for the city. Mayor de Blasio recently made an appearance on Hot 97 where he spoke to Ebro and Peter Rosenberg. When he does something that hurts us, I’ll call him out. I’m not sure I’d compare it to a beef between rappers. I think it’s a little more complex, Ebro.”
Governor Cuomo’s office heard the interview and responded to de Blasio’s comments with a statement that read, “The Governor represents the people of New York City, too. Many were trying to figure out which politician would be Drake or Meek Mill in the scenario, and a source from Albany noted that since “the governor is up by 20 and the mayor’s approval rating rarely cracks the top 40, I guess that makes the governor Drake.” Spokesman Austin Finan from the Mayor’s shot back a response via a Jay-Z line, saying, “Too much enemy fire out there to catch a friendly. Ain’t no beef, don’t start none.”
