(TIML NEWS) Ok so first off New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and New York Governor Cuomo have been feuding for some time now, ever since de Blasio took it upon himself to call out the Governor for doing away with Albany’s local priorities for the city. Since then, the two have been going back and forth through statements released from their staff through the press throwing jabs at each other.

Mayor de Blasio recently made an appearance on Hot 97 where he spoke to Ebro and Peter Rosenberg. During the interview, Ebro made a comment to de Blasio where he compared his feud with Cuomo to Meek Mill and Drake, saying, “I would say that you and Governor Cuomo’s relationship is somewhat like Meek Mill and Drake.” From there, Rosenberg responded with, “wow.” de Blasio did respond to Ebro’s comparison, saying, “I’ve said, when the governor does something that helps us, I’ll say, hey man, I’ll support him, I’ll praise him. Governor Cuomo’s office heard the interview and responded to de Blasio’s comments with a statement that read, “The Governor represents the people of New York City, too. Many were trying to figure out which politician would be Drake or Meek Mill in the scenario, and a source from Albany noted that since “the governor is up by 20 and the mayor’s approval rating rarely cracks the top 40, I guess that makes the governor Drake.” Spokesman Austin Finan from the Mayor’s shot back a response via a Jay-Z line, saying, “Too much enemy fire out there to catch a friendly. Ain’t no beef, don’t start none.”
