(TIML NEWS) For most, winning the lottery would be a dream come true, but for 21-year-old Jane Park, she claims it ruined her life. Park was just 17 years old when she hit a $1.4 million USD lottery jackpot in the UK. Some of her first purchases included a customized Range Rover with a pink interior, a shopping spree and vacation in Ibiza. But, despite being able to afford a lifestyle most can’t, she told UK talk show Loose Women that she’s miserable and is planning a lawsuit against UK’s National Lottery.
“It’s scary how different my life is from my friends’. When they say they’re stressed about the money, they mean their wages are sh*t. There’s no one in the same boat as me, no one who really understands. I feel like I’m a 40-year-old,” Park says.
“At times it feels like winning the lottery has ruined my life. I thought it would make it 10 times better but it’s made it 10 times worse,” she added. “I wish I had no money most days. I say to myself, ‘My life would be so much easier if I hadn’t won.’
Park says she’s sick of shopping, misses working for her money and has struggled to find a boyfriend, because most guys use her for her money. And, she blames her emptiness on the National Lottery, saying it shouldn’t allow kids under 18 to play.
“You can’t give a 17-year-old that amount of money,” Park says. “I think 18 should be the minimum age for winning the — lottery, at the least. The current age of 16 is far too young.” Wow she needs to spread the wealth if she’s sick of being rich lol.Sound off below.
