(TIML NEWS)  Audio brand Pioneer has introduced a brand new line of headphones made specifically for Apple products, dubbed Rayz — the first smart Lightning earphones on the market, according to the brand.

Coming in standard and “Plus” options, the earphones blend the intelligence of an iOS app with innovative Lightning accessories to deliver an experience not possible through the 3.5mm headphone jack. They use Apple’s Lightning audio technology, maximizing all of its benefits.

The Rayz are powered by Apple device (iPhone, iPad or iPod touch), meaning no additional batteries are required, while the Rayz Plus model is the only Lightning headset with an in-line charging node to simultaneously charge your device while the earphones are connected and in use.

Furthermore, each model features six microphones that enable several key first-to-market features. There’s Smart Noise Cancellation, a patented technology that scans your ear and optimizes the noise-cancelling performance uniquely to your ear and environment. Also, Rayz delivers exceptional noise cancellation across the entire noise spectrum of everyday life, unlike others on the market that focus on the frequent flier. There’s also an embedded microphones to implement sensor-less on-ear detection, where the earphones detect when they are in or out of your ear and automatically pause and restart your audio.

Using a combination of the six microphones and multi-mic voice processing makes phone calls better and easier with the smart button. Rayz support a one-button click to mute the mics during a call, while also allowing simple access to open apps and to control the advanced features.

Lastly, a companion enables the user to personalize the earphone’s settings like adjusting audio EQ and programming the smart button.

The Pioneee Rayz earphones are available in Onyx and Ice for the standard and Graphite and Bronze metallic finishes for the Plus. Both are available online for $149.95 (Rayz Plus), $99.95 (Rayz).
