(TIML NEWS) A Los Angeles boot distributor is now doing a recall in their line of men’s boots after one customer discovered that there are swastikas in the print design on the bottom of the shoe.

For those of you who don’t know, the swastika is symbolic of the historical Nazi camps that were developed by Adolf Hitler.

The company has since issued a public apology and swift recall of this particular product.

“This was in no way intentional, it was an obvious mistake made by our manufacturers in China,” Conal International Trading Inc. wrote in a letter, according to the LA Times. “We never intended to have any swastikas design on our shoes.”

The company was made aware of this recent issue after one user posted a photo on Reddit of the sole of the boot and the imprint that it left of the swastika sign.

“There was an angle I didn’t get to see when ordering my new work boots,” the Reddit user said.

They also said that they will “not be selling any of our boots with the misprint to anyone. We would never create a design to promote hate. We don’t promote hate at our company.”

Wow! So what are your thoughts on this news? Do you think the company did what they did on purpose? Or was this a harmless accident?
