(TIML NEWS) Birdman may be going through it with Lil Wayne, but the mogul isn’t letting Wayne’s $50 million dollar lawsuit against him stop plans for a Cash Money reunion tour. That’s right, guys! Cash Money Records taking over for the ’99 and 2000s all over again!
The 47-year-old Cash Money CEO is reportedly gearing up for a tour that will rival Puff Daddy’s epic Bad Boy reunion concert, claims TMZ. The line-up for Baby’s tour will include OG Cash Money artists Juvenile, Mannie Fresh and Turk. No Lil Wayne because, well, the lawsuit and everything. And no B.G. though because he’s currently serving 14 years in federal prison for gun possession and witness tampering. Birdman also plans to add himself and “up-and-coming acts” to the tour.
Not sure how a 20th anniversary Cash Money reunion tour can go on without the label’s biggest star, Lil Wayne, but Baby isn’t petty enough to block his son from joining the tour. The website claims there’s an “open invite” if Wayne decides to relive Cash Money’s glory days.
There’s doubt Wayne will entertain the thought since he’s been yelling “F*ck Cash Money” for a while now. And how can he even trust Baby will give his fare share of the tour profits. Hell, how can any of the names reportedly attached to the tour trust a frequently sued Birdman? Who knows, but if all goes well, without or without Wayne, Birdman hopes to have the tour going February 2017.
