NYPD officers were shot dead Saturday afternoon in what investigators believe to be a revenge shooting for Eric Garner and Michael Brown. The two police officers were shot execution-style while they sat in their police car on a Brooklyn Street corner.
The two officers, names are being withheld pending family notification of their deaths. The lone gunman approached the two officers on foot as they sat in their squad car on the corner of Myrtle and Tompkins avenues in Bed-Stuy, and open fired point-blank range hitting the officers in their heads.
Three hours before the officers were shot through their front passenger window the the person believed to be the gunman wrote on Instagram “I’m Putting Wings on Pigs Today,”
