Are you surprised? I’m not.
The late and great Dr. Maya Angelou said it best, “when someone shows you who they are, believe them.”
And that is exactly what Ms. Jessica Canseco is doing on Hollywood Exes. The ladies of Hollywood Exes tired once again to extend the olive branch in order to clear up the mess created by Jessica running her mouth to cast member Shanna Moakler about her thoughts on black and white women.
On Wednesday’s episode, the cast members of color tried to sit down with Jessica to make amends after they found out about the racist comments she was making via text to the other white cast member, Shanna Moakler.
Shanna blew the whistle on Jessica after they had a falling out at Andrea Kelly’s 40th birthday party.
Side Shade: Isn’t interesting that Shanna kept the text about how Jessica felt about black girls quiet and didn’t call her out on her racism until after they had a falling out?
The ladies gathered at Nicole Murphy’s house to confront and practically demand a sincere apology from Jessica, in order for them to feel comfortable moving forward with their individual friendships with her.
When confronted by Sheree Smith, Jessica did what she does best, play victim. She again blamed her racist texts on her experiences with black women while in the presence of her black boyfriend in public. When Sheree tired to explain to Jessica what her experience with racism was like, she told her “I don’t care. Shut the f*ck up, Sheree.”
Sheree, not one to take blatant disrespect with a smile, got into her face. Jessica quickly realized Sheree was not the one.
To see and hear the shade for yourself, head over to VH1.
After that incident, Jessica has been MIA. She won’t even pick up her phone to respond to her bestie, Nicole Murphy’s calls.
Sorry to break it to you ladies but Jessica Canseco is NOT your friend. She’s been using you all to meet black guys. That’s what she’s really been after, a connection not a friendship.
Jessica doesn’t seem to understand that dating a person of color and being racist are not mutually exclusive. It is absolutely possible for a racist to date a person of color. Just ask Donald Sterling.
I always find it interesting when someone dates out of their race then constantly broadcast the race of their significant other. You don’t hear Robert De Niro introducing his wife as his “black wife”. If you’re truly in love, wouldn’t color be last thing you see?
Urbanites, do you think Jessica’s apology was sincere or did she just want to end the conversation? Is Jessica racist or just oblivious? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
